MAHE has off-campuses in Mangalore and Bangalore, and off-shore campuses in Dubai(UAE) and Melaka (Malaysia). The Mangalore campus offers medical, dental, and nursing programs. The Bangalore Campus offers programs in Regenerative Medicine. The Dubai campus offers programs in engineering, management and architecture, and the Melaka campus offers programs in medicine and dentistry.
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications from eligible candidates for a limited number of vacancies at the level of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS), Centre of Excellence, Manipal, a constituent unit of MAHE, Manipal. Current sub-fields of interest are listed below under each discipline.
Research/Job Area-
PHYSICS: (1) Nuclear Physics (2) Theoretical Physics (3) Astronomy and Astrophysics (4) Statistical mechanics and non-linear dynamics (5) Accelerator physics and instrumentation (6) Chaos in quantum systems (7) Electronics, design and instrumentation (8) Detector R&D for upcoming multi-national experimental facilities in physics research Gifted researchers with demonstrated capabilities in instrumentation, detector R&D, nuclear and accelerator physics will have the opportunity to be deputed to partner institutions abroad

PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS: Minimum requirement is a PhD in any branch of pure or applied mathematics with an excellent academic record. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to take the lead in initiating and setting up a group to address contemporary problems in the field of interest.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (HP UNIX CLUSTER): System administrator for a H P Unix cluster with parallel architecture for scientific computing. Candidates with Red Hat certification will be preferred. Eligibility: PhD and Post-doctoral experience and/or industry experience as applicable with skills for solving complex physical and numerical problems.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Faculty:
A minimum of 3 years’ post-doctoral experience at a reputed institution together with an excellent publication record is a pre-requisite for the post of Assistant Professor.
Applications for early career faculty positions are preferred from candidates who apply within 4 years from the date their PhD was awarded.
All appointments are made commensurate with experience.
Applications highlighting teaching experience at the post graduate level within a research environment will be accorded additional weightage.
Post-Doctoral Fellows:
Exceptional candidates who wish to work independently in any of the subject areas listed are invited to apply for Postdoctoral positions.
Highly motivated recent PhD graduates are encouraged to apply.
Applications received within 5 years of graduating with a PhD degree will receive full consideration.

Job/Position Description- The Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences is dedicated to the pursuit of fundamental research. Only applications reflecting a demonstrated capability in addressing fundamental questions in pure science will be considered.
Weightage will be given to candidates with sound computational and quantitative skills who demonstrate the ability to conduct blue sky research with the potential for generating break-through ideas required for future scientific leadership.
With these appointments MCNS, MAHE plans to become a leading hub for fundamental research in South India and the country.
