About- The Kwongan Foundation for Australian Native Biodiversity has been established to promote better understanding, management and utilisation of Western Australias unique native biological resources. The key aims of the foundation are to implement the gathering and sharing of knowledge about our unique flora, and achieve tangible improvements in the long-term conservation prospects of threatened native plants in Western Australia. Job/Position Description- The Kwongan Foundation PhD Top-Up Scholarship is available to assist eligible graduates to enrol in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the School of Biological Sciences at The University of Western Australia and undertake research into the conservation of native plants in Western Australia.
The scholarship is to be held in conjunction with an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend or equivalent postgraduate research scholarship recognised by the University.
Funds are available for supplementary top-up scholarship to be held in conjunction with a Research Training Program Stipend, a University Postgraduate Award (UPA) or equivalent postgraduate research scholarship recognised by the University.
The scholarship provides a fortnightly living allowance stipend of $7,000 per annum.
