Designation/Position- Postdoc Position 2019 in USA
Case Western Reserve University invites application for Postdoc Position 2019 in USA from eligible and interested candidates
About- A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Department of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Currently, the laboratory is funded by NIH and a private foundation that focuses on Usher Syndrome. Our research is focused on retinal cell biology, with the goal of discovering small molecule therapies for photoreceptor degenerative disorders. Postdoc Position 2019 in USA, Case Western Reserve University
Research/Job Area- Cell biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry
Location- Case Western Reserve University, Department of Pharmacology, USA
Eligibility/Qualification–
The applicant is expected to be highly independent, capable of designing experiments, and conducting hypothesis based research projects.
The candidate should have a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry. Knowledge of fluorescence microscopy is favorable, although not necessary.
Job/Position Description- To elucidate the disease mechanisms, we study the process of photoreceptor morphogenesis and maintenance in vertebrate animals. Laboratory pioneers real-time imaging of proteins and small molecules within the retina, and takes advantage of a state of the art confocal/two-photon/STED microscope. Also, research heavily depends on cell culture systems to biochemically study the components required for photoreceptor morphogenesis/maintenance.
How to Apply- Please submit your CV, brief statementof research interest, and contact information for three references via e-mail to Dr. Yoshikazu Imanishi (yxi19@case.edu).
