About- Chonbuk National University (CBNU; Jeonbuk Daehakgyo) is located in the historical city of Jeonju, Republic of Korea. As the flagship national university for the Jeollabuk-do Province, it was founded in 1947 by the provincial fund within the framework of the Korean national university system, following the liberation of the country. Eligibility/Qualification–

  • A Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computational Biology or a related field with a solid computational background.
  • Strong programming and analytical skills, including experience with next-generation sequencing data and strong theoretical background in method development.
  • At least two first author papers published and demonstrated written communication skills in English.
  • Good Experience in Deep Learning and Machine learning.

Job/Position Description- One Postdoctoral Position in S. Korea is available in the prof. Kil To Chong lab (Electronics and Information Engineering, Chonbuk National University, Jeonju, South Korea).

Applications are invited for a 1-year computational
Postdoctoral Position in S. Korea and it can be extended based on the performance. The researcher will develop novel methods for analyzing large-scale DNA-seq, RNA-seq, and other human genomics data. The work will focus on developing state-of-the-art computational tools for Alternative Splicing, Transcription Factor Binding Sites, and Branch Point.

The salary is 2,500,000 KRW.
