Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD (or close to completion) in Physics or Mathematics related to the subject area, and have a track record of publishing and disseminating your work through conferences and seminars as appropriate to your career stage.

Job/Position Description-
These positions are to work with Prof Clare Burrage, and form part of the research project “New Searches for Dark Energy” funded by the Leverhulme Trust. If successful, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of researchers in the Particle Cosmology group in Nottingham, and with the closely connected Quantum Gravity and Astronomy groups. We are looking for a researcher who can both work together with Prof. Burrage on the above project, and who has the potential to develop their own lines of research.
- Duration: This is a fixed-term post until 30 April 2022. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week), however job share arrangements may be considered.
- Salary: £27,511 to £40,322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (minimum £30,942 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

- Responsibilities:
- To plan and conduct primary research towards the goals of the research project.
- To write up research work for publication and contribute to the dissemination of research at scientific conferences. To assist in the dissemination of research outputs to the general public.
- To identify opportunities and assist in writing bids for research grant applications.
- To assist where appropriate with supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students projects as appropriate. To participate in the assessment of student knowledge and co-supervise projects at Masters level.
- To build relationships with both internal and external contacts in order to exchange information, to form relationships for future collaborations and identify potential sources of funds and/or opportunities for collaboration.
- To develop their own research ideas and collaborate with academic colleagues on areas of shared interest for example, course development, collaborative or joint research projects.
