Eligibility/Qualification:
- A MSc degree or equivalent in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related fields
- Proficiency in both written and oral English
- Strong background in statistical physics and electrodynamics
- Proficient in mathematical analytical derivations and programming skills
- Experience with numerical computations
- Knowledge of physical chemistry, soft matter physics, or electrochemistry is desirable
- Demonstrated personal suitability and motivation for the position
- Ability to meet the admission criteria for the PhD program at NMBU
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting scientific research within theoretical electrochemistry at an internationally respected level
- Developing electrokinetic models to describe the flow of electrolytes through porous electrodes
- Performing molecular simulations and analyzing resulting data
- Collaborating with colleagues conducting experiments
- Presenting research results at national and international conferences
- Entering a plan for the progress of the work towards a PhD degree
- Contributing to the existing research milieu or network and its development
