Eligibility/Qualifications:
- PhD in molecular biology, biophysics, nanotechnology, or a related field.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proven capability for independent thinking, experimental design, and data analysis.
- Relevant first-author papers or submitted manuscripts in recognized journals.
- Experience with protein production in mammalian cell culture, purification, and biophysical characterization is advantageous.
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Incorporate donor and acceptor labels into target proteins using genetic code expansion and peptide tags.
- Collect single-molecule FRET data and integrate it with atomic models to analyze conformational changes in proteins.
- Collaborate closely with a PhD student and experts in complement biology, integrin biology, and single-molecule spectroscopy.
- Participate in projects involving significant cryo-EM structures to facilitate experimental design.
