Designation/Position- Postdoctoral Position 2019 in Italy
Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Italy invites application for Postdoctoral Position 2019 in Italy from eligible and interested candidates
About- IIT was established in 2003 and successfully created a large scale infrastructure in Genova, part of a network of 10 state-of-the-art laboratories countrywide and recruiting an international staff of about 1100 people from more than 50 countries. IIT’s research endeavour focuses on high-tech and innovation, representing the forefront of technology with possible application from medicine to industry, computer science, robotics, life sciences and nanobiotechnologies. Postdoctoral Position 2019 in Italy
Research/Job Area- Physics, Mathematics, Nanotechnology or similar discipline
Location- Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Italy
Applicants must have a PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Nanotechnology or similar discipline with at least 3 years of experience in simulation oriented research.
In particular, knowledge of a numerical system based on the FEniCS platform or, alternatively, knowledge of FEM or FIT techniques is mandatory.
Furthermore, a background in electromagnetism and/or electric transport is required.
The successful candidate will work in close contact with experimentalists with the final aim to fabricate and validate the designed structure.
In this sense, even a slight background experience in nanofabrication is preferable (but not mandatory). In this respect, team-work attitude will be seriously evaluated.
Job/Position Description- Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia is offering a Post-doc position in the field of opto/electrical simulations. In particular, the successful candidate will work in the field of Strong Coupling between excitons and photons, especially oriented towards the “Design of micro/nano-devices for enhanced strong coupling”. Furthermore, the successful candidate is expected to actively work in other fields according to the lab requirements.
How to Apply- Applications, including a research statement, detailed curriculum vitae and names/contacts of at least 2 referees, should be submitted in PDF format to: Remo Proietti Zaccaria ([email protected]) quoting “Postdoctoral position in “Strong coupling between excitons and photons (Theoretical) CB IITLF64” in the subject line.
