10 PhD Positions Available: Pharm-ERA is offering ten doctoral positions as part of the HORIZON Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Doctoral Network. This interdisciplinary and intersectoral research and training network focuses on improving the monitoring and environmental risk assessment of pharmaceuticals, antimicrobial resistance, and pathogens in terrestrial and aquatic environments. Joining Pharm-ERA means integrating into a diverse research network covering environmental and analytical chemistry, microbial ecology, molecular biology, and chemical fate/effect modeling, among other disciplines.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Applicants must comply with the MSCA Mobility Rule, having not resided or worked in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the last 36 months.
- Candidates should be doctoral candidates, not already holding a doctoral degree at the time of recruitment.
- Scientific excellence suitable for the PhD project is required.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is essential, as the project operates in English.
- Knowledge of the language of the host country may be considered a merit.
- Strong team-mindedness is desired.
Description: Pharm-ERA offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research addressing critical environmental challenges related to pharmaceuticals, antimicrobial resistance, and pathogens. The network comprises nine beneficiaries and six associated partners committed to research, training, dissemination, communication, and result exploitation. The doctoral projects span various scientific domains and involve collaborations between academia and industry, aiming to deliver impactful outcomes for environmental consultancy and agencies.

- Applications will be evaluated by the Pharm-ERA selection committee from April 16 to May 31, 2024.
- Selected candidates with the best CVs will be invited for interviews via platforms like Skype, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
- The employment procedure for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) will commence in Spring 2024, following Beneficiary and MSCA rules.
- Enrolment of selected candidates in doctoral schools will take place from September 1 to October 31, 2024, according to local rules.
