Eligibility/Qualification
- Education: Completed Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant disciplines such as:
- Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology, Law, Criminology, Human Geography, Intercultural German Studies, Philosophy, etc.
- Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written); German or other languages depending on research topic
- Doctoral Admission: Must fulfill discipline-specific doctoral regulations (details here)
- Research Proposal: Self-designed, relevant to at least one of the RTG’s Research Areas, and interdisciplinary in nature
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration experience
Job Description
As a PhD researcher, you will:
- Develop and conduct your own project within one or more Research Areas
- Participate in interdisciplinary training and supervision
- Attend international exchange events and workshops
- Engage in socio-legal frameworks and discourse analysis
- Collaborate with experts across social sciences, cultural studies, and legal studies
