Scholarship Description: The Research Training Group (RTG) 2636 funded by the DFG provides a 3-year doctoral program focusing on the mapping of morphosyntactic structures onto meaning. The program covers various areas of linguistics, including grammatical theory (morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics), linguistic variation, language change, language processing, and language acquisition. The RTG encourages applicants from different grammatical frameworks and offers facilities for diverse research methods.

Eligibility:

  • Completed academic degree in linguistics or related fields.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Advanced command of the English language; German language skills encouraged.
  • Declaration from the supervisor if the MA degree is not obtained by the submission date.
