12-Month Postdoctoral Position: The research team “Drugs and Molecules for Living Systems” at INSERM U1177 – Institut Pasteur de Lille and the University of Lille is offering a 12-month (renewable) postdoctoral position in drug discovery and medicinal chemistry. The candidate will be part of an inspiring and stimulating environment, focusing on designing, synthesizing, and optimizing bioactive compounds targeting metallo-aminopeptidases ERAP1 and ERAP2 associated with auto-immune diseases.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Experience in multi-step synthesis.
- Proficiency in multiparametric optimization and interpretation of biological and ADME (Structure-Activity Relationship) results.
- Familiarity with modern analytical instrumentation, NMR-spectra (1D and 2D), Mass Spectrometry, and the use of specialized software and databases (ELNs, Biovia Draw or Chem Draw, Reaxys or SciFinder, Pubmed, MOE, and/or Pymol are advantageous).
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong publication writing skills.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated qualities of rigor, creativity, initiative, and effective teamwork.
Job Description:
12-Month Postdoctoral Research Position – Drugs and Molecules for Living Systems
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and synthesis of bioactive compounds, multiparametric optimization, interpretation of biological and ADME data (Structure-Activity Relationship), preparation of electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN), protocols, and reagent ordering. Additionally, tasks include the preparation and writing of publications, posters, oral presentations, participation in shared laboratory activities, and mentoring and supervising students.
Required Degree and Experience:
- PhD in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry.
- Postdoctoral experience in organic or medicinal chemistry is a plus.
- Experience in industry and/or international experience is advantageous.
