Scholarship Description:

Chair on Industrial Energy Efficiency (2014-29) – 15 Open PhD Positions in Energy & Thermofluid Science

Embark on a transformative journey to improve industrial energy efficiency. Dive into topics such as heat pump optimization, refrigerant replacement, and the integration of renewable energy sources. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and explore experimental studies, thermodynamic modeling, and advanced numerical simulations. The entire PhD will be funded with a net income of 25kS per year, with additional funding available for materials, equipment, and international conference participation.

Eligibility: Candidates should hold a master’s level university degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with outstanding grades. A strong interest and a first experience in modeling would be advantageous.
