Eligibility/Qualification:

- Previous experience with UHV systems and surface chemical analysis and/or modelling (advantageous)
- Previous experience with theoretical modelling of surface processes (advantageous)
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, critical analysis of scientific literature
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a research team

2 PostDoc Positions for Surface and Interface Characterization and/or Modelling
- Conduct research on surface and interface states in high-strength steels and high-bandgap semiconductors
- Utilize cutting-edge analytical equipment such as Photoelectron Spectroscopy, Auger Microscopy, Low-Energy Ion Scattering, Electron Microscopy, and XRD
- Collaborate with industry experts in ab-initio computation to prepare practical samples and devices
- Develop computational atomistic models of relevant surfaces and interfaces
- Analyze data, interpret results, and critically evaluate scientific literature
- Work independently within your area of expertise and contribute to research team collaboration
