2 Postdoctoral Researchers (f/m/x) in Plant Metabolism and Immunity
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Plant Metabolism and Immunity
Location: University of Cologne, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, plant science, biochemistry, or related discipline
- Proven expertise in plant metabolism, immunity, and/or molecular biology with a publication record
- Experience with A. thaliana knockout mutants, functional genomics, or fungal genetics
- Proficiency in data analysis and modeling techniques is an advantage
Job Description: We invite candidates to apply for the following projects:
- Project 1:
- Identify and functionally analyze infochemicals (signaling molecules and metabolites) in host-microbiota interactions
- Study host- and microbe-derived metabolite signals driving metabolic interdependence in host-microbe interactions
- Project 2:
- Characterize novel nucleotide-based molecules
- Identify new active metabolites affecting fungal accommodation
