Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in:
- Theoretical Ultrafast Physics
- Theoretical Condensed-Matter Physics
- Electronic Structure Theory in Solids
- Experience with Computational Approaches:
- Semiconductor Bloch Equations
- Density Matrix Methods
- Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TDDFT)
- Wannier-based techniques (e.g., Wannier90)
- Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Shell scripting
- Numerical code development
- Interest in numerical tool development and collaborative research
Job Description
The successful candidate will develop and apply theoretical and computational approaches to model ultrafast light-matter interactions in crystalline materials. Key research topics include high-harmonic generation and sub-cycle carrier dynamics, involving collaboration with leading experimental groups (ARCNL, Weizmann Institute, SLAC, LLE Rochester).
