Summary: Paris-Saclay Applied Economics (PSAE) and the LAMASUS project are seeking a highly motivated candidate for a two-year postdoctoral research position focused on the exciting research project “Land use drivers and adaptation to climate change.”

Eligibility/Qualification: To be eligible for this Postdoctoral Researcher position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  1. Proficiency in data management and conducting independent applied econometric analyses, with command of R programming and GIS as a plus.
  2. Familiarity with recent economic research on climate and land use changes, including knowledge of the impacts of climate change on land use and related adaptation strategies.
  3. A Ph.D. in Economics (obtained before starting work).
  4. Initiative and ambition to pursue a scientific career.
  5. Documented experience in scientific writing and publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  6. Strong English communication skills (knowledge of French is optional).

Job Description:

2-Year Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Applied Economics

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Participation in the implementation of the EU research project LAMASUS (Land Use and Management Modeling for Sustainable Governance).
  • Analysis of relevant data to specify and estimate econometric models of land use.
  • Participation in national and international conferences.
  • Work at the Paris-Saclay Applied Economics research unit in collaboration with LAMASUS European partners.
  • Publication of scientific articles related to the research project.
