Job Description: We offer three PhD positions within the CRC Microplastics:

  1. PhD Position 1: Investigate the effects of microplastic particles on limnetic model organisms and biotic interactions. Conduct laboratory and mesocosm studies, applying state-of-the-art methods to study effects from molecular to ecosystem levels.
  2. PhD Position 2: Generate, select, and test a set of well-defined natural reference particles for risk assessment of particulate pollutants. Conduct ecotoxicological tests with various test organisms from different environmental compartments.
  3. PhD Position 3: Investigate microplastic particle transport in natural soils and on soil surfaces. Conduct experiments on microplastic transport via bioturbation, optimize methodological spectroscopic pipeline, and expand it towards small microplastics.
