Job Description
The selected candidate will work on evaluating novel traceable copper ligands as therapeutic agents for Alzheimer’s disease. Key responsibilities include:
- Testing newly synthesized ligands capable of removing copper from β-amyloid complexes
- Conducting in vitro and cell-based (in vivo model) experiments
- Studying:
- Cellular uptake of ligands
- Copper distribution in cells
- Cell viability and inflammation markers
- Investigating reduction of oxidative stress caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS)
- Monitoring ligand behavior using time-resolved confocal microscopy
- Collaborating across institutions in Toulouse and Strasbourg
