4-Year PhD Position: The Biodiversity, Ecosystems, and Landscapes unit at Liege University’s Gembloux Agro Bio-Tech is offering a fully funded 4-year PhD position under the AFRO-CARDS project. This project involves monitoring forest age through optical and LiDAR chronosequences acquired with drones in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The research is crucial for understanding secondary forest succession in the Congo Basin, which is undergoing significant land-use changes. The position includes collaboration with several esteemed partners and requires fieldwork in challenging environments.
