Postdoctoral Fellowship in Experimental Health Science: Lund University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Health Sciences, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship within Experimental Health Science. The position is part of the Sport Sciences research group, focusing on musculoskeletal biomechanics, sports injuries, and neuromuscular control. The successful candidate will work in the Movement and Reality (MoRe) Lab, contributing to research on knee joint biomechanics and neuromuscular control in healthy and knee-injured participants, primarily adolescents.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed doctoral degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in motion analysis, electromyography, musculoskeletal modeling.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or Java programming languages.
  • Experience in collecting data on healthy and/or populations with musculoskeletal injuries, ideally adolescents.
  • Proficiency in machine learning techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with evidence of publications and presentations.
  • Proficient in English.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Experimental Health Science

  • Independent and collaborative scientific research in musculoskeletal biomechanics, sports injuries, and neuromuscular control.
  • Evaluation of the influence of sex and puberty on knee joint biomechanics and neuromuscular control.
  • Data collection, quality control, data analysis, report writing, manuscript preparation, and submission for publication.
  • Development of grants, presentations, and publications.
  • Active participation in seminar and meeting activities.
