Eligibility/Qualification: Our Postdoc program is open to individuals who are either:

  • Within 5 years of obtaining their doctoral degree (PhD, DVM, or MD) – PhD already awarded, or
  • Students soon to obtain doctoral degrees (the PhD must be awarded within 6 months of joining AstraZeneca)

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Fellow – Earth-Abundant Transition Metal Photocatalysis

As a Postdoctoral Fellow at AstraZeneca, you will lead a 3-year research project focusing on Earth-abundant metal photocatalysis. Working within the Early Chemical Development Department, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and academic mentors to develop sustainable synthetic routes for challenging projects within AstraZeneca’s portfolio. The project will emphasize designing useful and sustainable tools for chemical synthesis using inexpensive and non-toxic first-row metal complexes.
