Postdoctoral Research Associate in Membrane Proteomics: The Rosalind Franklin Institute, a national research center, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Membrane Proteomics. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Practical experience with various mass spectrometer types, fragmentation approaches, and chromatographies
  • Proficiency in analyzing quantitative proteomic data using common software
  • Familiarity with protein chemistry and bioanalytical approaches
  • Previous experience with proteomics mass spectrometry

Job Description: The successful candidate will:

  • Hyphenate LCs to state-of-the-art mass spectrometers
  • Characterize protein, lipid, and proteolipid samples using various mass spectrometers and fragmentation regimes
  • Carry out analytical procedures for protein crosslinking characterization with precision
  • Analyze quantitative proteomic data with statistical rigor
  • Devise and create proteomic methodologies for studying protein-protein and protein-lipid complexes
  • Collaborate on projects with colleagues and research groups
  • Contribute to public engagement in science programs

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues on scientific protocols and experimental techniques
  • Contribute to the public engagement in science program of the Franklin Institute
  • Participate in collaborative projects and act as a source of information and advice
  • Help devise proteomic methodologies for studying protein-protein and protein-lipid complexes
