Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Virus and Vaccine Immunology, with specific emphasis on T cell responses related to type 1 diabetes-associated viruses.
Location: Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM), Karolinska Institutet, Flemingsberg, Stockholm, Sweden.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in immunology, virology, vaccinology, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience with experimental murine models and FELASA-A certification.
- Proficiency in immune cell isolation, cell culturing, and multidimensional flow cytometry analysis.
- Knowledge of virology, immunology, and/or vaccinology. Experience in molecular biology techniques and bioinformatical analyses are meritorious.
- Excellent language skills in English (spoken and written).
- Structured, thorough, independent, flexible, and able to work in a team.
Job Description:
Postdoctoral Researcher in Virus and Vaccine Immunology (Focus on T Cells)
- Monitor T cell responses induced by infection and vaccination.
- Utilize humanized mouse models, enteroviruses, and new vaccines.
- Conduct assessments using methods for virus replication, tissue damage, HLA-I multimer assays, and advanced flow cytometry.
- Contribute to experimental design, experimentation, data analyses, and publication of results.
- Participate in group meetings, departmental seminars, and national/international scientific meetings.
- Contribute to routine work within the research group and help supervise students.
