PhD Student in Chemistry of Interfaces: Luleå University of Technology is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for the position of PhD Student in Chemistry of Interfaces. The successful candidate will work on a research project focused on the synthesis and characterization of halogen-free and non-flammable electrolytes for batteries. The position is initially for four years, with the possibility of extension, and involves collaboration between the Chemistry of Interfaces research group at Luleå University of Technology and the Department of Physics, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in chemistry.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in organic synthesis and physicochemical characterization.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in the synthesis of supermolecules, and physical and electrochemical characterization is considered an advantage.
Job Description: The PhD student will:
- Design, synthesize, and characterize halogen-free and non-flammable electrolytes.
- Perform experimental and theoretical work within the research studies.
- Communicate research results at national and international conferences and in scientific journals.
- Have the opportunity to engage in teaching activities.
- Collaborate with the Chemistry of Interfaces research group and the Department of Physics, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg.
