Scholarship Description:

PhD Scholarship Opportunity in Neuroscience, Stem Cells, and Genome Editing

As a PhD student, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in the following areas:

  • Development of iPSC-based 2D and organoid disease models for neurological disorders.
  • Utilization of CRISPR/Cas9 for targeted genetic modifications in iPSCs.
  • Establishment of high-throughput screening methods for imaging-based analysis and high-resolution microscopy.
  • Engagement in preclinical compound screening for the identification of novel therapeutics.
  • Collaboration with industry and medical partners.

Eligibility: To be eligible, you should possess:

  • A university degree (Master or equivalent) in biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in cell culture and molecular biology, with additional experience in human iPSC culture and CRISPR/Cas9 technology being advantageous.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Team spirit, motivation, and a desire to work at the interdisciplinary intersection of medicine, biology, chemistry, and physics.
