Scholarship Description:

PhD Position – Radiation Effects on Opto-Electronic Technologies

The PhD project, conducted within the Materials for Optics and Photonics in Extreme Radiative Environments (MOPERE) team, aims to identify mechanisms in the modification of optoelectronic components due to radiation exposure. The research involves experimental protocols, irradiation, and characterization of optoelectronic components, providing insights into degradation mechanisms and opening avenues for future research.

Eligibility: Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, or an equivalent field, preferably with a specialization in optics or optoelectronics. A strong academic background compatible with doctoral studies is essential. Candidates should have a taste for experimental research, initiative, autonomy, scientific curiosity, and strong motivation for a 3-year doctorate. Proficiency in oral and written English, along with communication and cooperation skills, is advantageous.
