Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Requirements:
- PhD in bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related field (obtained within the closing date of the call)
- +3 years of hands-on experience in data science, preferably in life sciences or medicine
- Fluency in English
Preferential Requirements:
- Proven track record leading projects independently
- Experience in the analysis of genomic datasets
Organizational and Social Skills:
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse teams
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
Job Description:
Computational Postdoc – Cancer Genomics and Evolution
The Computational Postdoc will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data related to tumor evolution. The role includes designing new computational methods based on evolutionary theory and/or machine learning, integrating lab-generated data with existing datasets, and collaborating with bioinformatics and experimental core teams. The successful candidate will work closely with Prof Andrea Sottoriva, the Group Leader, and contribute to ERC project management, including technical reports.
