Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, computational biology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English equivalent to English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school.
  • Experience in genomics, biology, computer science, or related fields.
  • Ability to perform and analyze large-scale genomics data (bulk, single cell, spatial).
  • Strong collaborative approach to research and ability to work independently.

Job Description:

PhD Student Position in Spatial Omics for Multiple Sclerosis Research

The Ph.D. student will:

  • Focus on the application and computational analysis of spatial transcriptomic and epigenomic technologies.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team of computational, molecular, and cellular biologists and neuroimmunologists.
  • Contribute to ongoing research investigating cell states within the oligodendrocyte lineage in development and disease.
  • Explore the transition of oligodendrocyte lineage cells to disease-associated states.
  • Assess the growth and survival of transplanted seedlings and their variations among species and provenances.
  • Examine the long-term effects of stand structure and species composition on forest productivity using dendrochronological analyses.
