Postdoctoral Position in Organic Synthesis: The University of Murcia’s research group, led by Dr. Francisco Juliá-Hernández, is offering a fully funded postdoctoral researcher position. This role focuses on pioneering organic synthetic methodologies utilizing Earth-abundant metal photocatalysts. The group is committed to sustainable synthetic transformations, exploring catalysis with Earth-abundant metals and visible light to drive the derivatization of complex molecules and the valorization of chemical feedstocks.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Organic Synthesis
  • Strong background and experience in photocatalysis, radical chemistry, organometallic chemistry, and/or homogeneous catalysis
  • Motivated with creativity and team-working skills
  • Proficient in English (writing and speaking)

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Position in Earth-abundant Metal Photocatalysis and Organic Synthesis

The successful candidate will contribute to the group’s research on sustainable synthetic transformations using Earth-abundant metal photocatalysts. Key responsibilities include developing unprecedented organic synthetic methodologies, focusing on visible light-triggered derivatization of complex molecules. The position offers the opportunity to work in state-of-the-art laboratories and collaborate on innovative projects aimed at uncovering the full potential of Earth-abundant metal photocatalysis.
