Study Area:
Engage in cutting-edge research on protein liquid droplets, exploring their regulation during genome transcription and developing peptide sequence motifs for selective targeting of pathogens.
Scholarship Description:
Postdoctoral and PhD Positions in Simulations of Protein Liquid Droplets
The project involves multi-scale simulations, advanced sampling techniques, and the development of protein parametrization. For Topic 1, explore the role of protein droplets in genome transcription. For Topic 2, focus on identifying peptide sequence motifs for targeted pathogen disruption. Expected findings hold significance for both general knowledge and potential applications in medical treatments.
Eligibility:
Outstanding candidates with experience in computer simulations and an MSc/PhD degree in biophysics, soft matter physics, physical chemistry, computational chemistry, statistical mechanics, or related fields. Proficiency in molecular dynamics simulations (GROMACS, CHARMM, NAMD, AMBER, LAMMPS, etc.) or other simulation techniques is an advantage.
Required Documents:
Send CV, list of publications, short personal statement (research interests, past, and plans), and the name of a person for a letter of recommendation to Robert Vacha (robert.vacha@mail.muni.cz).
How to Apply:
Email your complete application material (preferably in a single PDF) to robert.vacha@mail.muni.cz.
