Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in political science, sociology, environmental- or development economics
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g., R or Python)
- Willingness to travel, including fieldwork in countries outside Europe
- Knowledge in discourse analysis using large language models is an asset
Job Description: The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative research project led by Prof. Dr. Ottmar Edenhofer, Prof. Dr. Jan Steckel, and Prof. Dr. Matthias Kalkuhl. Responsibilities include conducting academic research on the political economy of climate policy in low- and middle-income countries, using qualitative or quantitative methods to assess barriers, presenting results at conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and supporting the supervision of doctoral students and grant proposal writing.
