FLIGHT Fellowship Program: ICFO is offering up to 12 PhD-fellowship positions within the FLIGHT Program, an MSCA-COFUND doctoral initiative focusing on intersectoral research training in collaboration with Industrial or Clinical Partners. Study Area: The PhD Fellowship Program covers a broad spectrum of research areas at ICFO, spanning mathematics, science, engineering, and medical sciences. Fellows can choose from three specialized tracks: Clinical, Industrial, or Enhanced, each offering unique opportunities for interdisciplinary research and collaboration.

Scholarship Description: Recruited Fellows will have the flexibility to choose one of the following tracks:

  1. Clinical Track: Collaborate on projects with Clinical Partners focusing on neurodegenerative diseases, neuromuscular diseases, pediatric management, critical care, and non-invasive monitoring.
  2. Industrial Track: Engage in projects with Industrial Partners to accelerate therapy development for neuromuscular diseases and undertake secondments for 6-18 months at the partner organization.
  3. Enhanced Track: Develop projects with ICFO’s Research Groups, leveraging the institute’s network of excellence and interdisciplinary environment.

Eligibility: The program is open to individuals with a degree in mathematics, science, engineering, or medical sciences related to ICFO’s research activities. Applicants should have a strong academic background and a keen interest in intersectoral research collaboration.
