Eligibility/Qualification: To apply, you must:
- Hold or expect to hold a Masters (or Diplom) degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or (Bio)physics.
- Demonstrate scholarly curiosity and an outstanding academic record.
- Match your interests, skills, and knowledge with your proposed area of doctoral research.
- Show a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- If outside the European Higher Education Area, include GRE General Test scores (Verbal >152, Quantitative >155). Indian GATE scores are also accepted.
Required Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Language proficiency test scores (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Cambridge ESOL) must meet or exceed the specified minimal scores.
Minimal Scores:
- TOEFL iBT: 80 (Reading: 20, Listening: 20, Speaking: 20, Writing: 20)
- IELTS: 6.5 (Reading: 6.5, Listening: 6.5, Speaking: 6.5, Writing: 6.5)
- Cambridge ESOL: Upper B2 (175-179) or higher (C1 or C2)
German language skills are not required.
