Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Bio-engineering, or equivalent.
- Expertise in plant molecular biology and cell biology.
- Ability to plan and conduct independent research accurately.
- Keen interest in organelle/cell biology, proteomics, intra-cellular signaling, and plant-pathogen interactions.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Job Description: As a postdoc, you will:
- Investigate inter-organelle communication during plant interactions with pathogens.
- Design and implement tools to detect dynamic association between organelles using confocal and super-resolution microscopy.
- Monitor contact site dynamics during various stress conditions.
- Characterize the dynamic proteome at stress-induced contact sites.
- Guide a Ph.D. project focusing on inter-organelle communication.
Profile: Essential
- Ph.D. in relevant field.
- Expertise in plant molecular biology and cell biology.
- Independence in planning and conducting research.
- Keen interest in relevant research areas.
- Excellent English communication skills. Desirable
- Experience in plant cell biology, confocal microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, proteomics, and/or plant-pathogen assays.
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervision experience (Ph.D. students).
