MECAM Individual Fellowship: The Merian Centre for Advanced Studies in the Maghreb (MECAM) is offering nine fellowships for postdoctoral and advanced researchers in the humanities and social sciences. The fellowship period spans from September 2024 to April 2025, focusing on the overarching theme “Imagining Futures: Dealing with Disparity.” MECAM’s research agenda is organized around five Interdisciplinary Research Fields (IRFs): Aesthetics & Cultural Practice, Inequality & Mobility, Memory & Justice, Resources & Sustainability, and Identities & Beliefs.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Postdoctoral or advanced researchers in humanities and social sciences.
- Research proposals related to the main theme and at least one of the Interdisciplinary Research Fields.
- Open to researchers from all countries, including Tunisia.
Job Description: MECAM Individual Fellows will:
- Contribute to the research agenda within the designated Interdisciplinary Research Fields.
- Engage in multidimensional research on models, visions, and ideas about the future.
- Collaborate with the consortium of seven Tunisian and German research institutions.
- Strengthen internationalization, academic research, and cooperation in the Humanities and Social Sciences in the Maghreb.
