Postdoctoral Research Fellows (ARH/255/2023): Corvinus University of Budapest, a prestigious institution with over a century of history, invites applications for two Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions within the Computational Inequalities Research Group at the Center for Collective Learning (CCL). The research focus encompasses computational social science, urban science, and complex systems, led by Professor César Hidalgo.
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Full-time, 30 months)
Research Area: Computational Inequalities, with specific emphasis on projects related to intersectional inequalities in science and the impact of diversity on collective objectivity.
Location: Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary – a historic UNESCO Heritage building overlooking the Danube River.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- University degree in Quantitative Social Sciences (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Sociology), Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
- Fluency in English.
- Passion for computational social science research, particularly in gender and racial inequality, human-AI interaction, and algorithmic fairness.
- Experience or willingness to learn programming in Python/R.
- Experience or willingness to learn how to conduct experiments and/or analyze big data.
Job Description: The selected candidates will collaborate closely with faculty members, contributing to the development of research projects and related tasks. Responsibilities include presenting research findings at conferences, workshops, and professional events. Postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to explore and develop their own interests in relevant topics, fostering a dynamic and collaborative research environment.
