Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in health informatics, computational psychiatry, public health, health policy, health services research, economics, biostatistics, or related fields.
- Significant experience in data science techniques, particularly machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, data mining, and spatial network methods.
- Strong interest in mental health and substance use.
- Expertise in programming with Python and/or R.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience analyzing large administrative data such as survey data, electronic health records, and insurance claims.
Job Description: The Postdoctoral Associate will:
- Develop and apply data analytics, including machine learning, deep learning, and statistical techniques, to healthcare data, surveys, and social determinants of health data.
- Participate in designing and executing research studies aimed at improving healthcare outcomes and clinical research.
- Collaborate with researchers and faculty members to publish research results in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
- Communicate research findings to the scientific community through conference presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and other funding applications.
Qualifications: The successful applicant should have a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent in relevant fields and a strong track record of significant research accomplishments, including publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Strong working experience with electronic health records and insurance claims data, and programming with Stata/SAS, Python, or R is required. Excellent teamwork, oral and written communication skills are essential.
Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
