Aalto University – Postdoctoral Researcher: Aalto University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the computational modelling of polyelectrolyte materials or self-organization in soft materials. Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Computational modelling of polyelectrolyte materials or self-organization in soft materials, within the Academy of Finland Center of Excellence in Life Inspired Hybrid Materials (LIBER).

Location: Espoo, Greater Helsinki, Finland

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctorate degree in computational soft materials physics, polymer technology, chemistry, materials science, or related field.
  • Strong publication history and understanding of soft matter and macromolecular assembly, particularly in polymer materials and/or driven self-organization and assembly.
  • Expertise in modelling polymer, colloid, or nanoparticle systems at the atomistic scale.
  • Proficiency in data handling and linux/unix-based high-performance computing environments.
  • Good oral and written command of English.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for:

  • Working on molecular mechanisms of assembly phase transitions in polyelectrolyte materials and/or structural organization of colloidal and nanoparticle solutions in external fields.
  • Driving high-profile interdisciplinary research in collaboration with experimental and computational/theory research teams.
  • Disseminating scientific results and contributing to the advancement of soft materials research.
