PhD Research Positions – Computational Cognitive Science and Machine Learning

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Cognitive Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related computational field.
- Strong programming skills; familiarity or willingness to learn PyTorch, TensorFlow, JavaScript, or R.
- Research experience in empirical research, with or without prior publications.
- Independence, creativity, and a commitment to diversity in science.
Job Description:
- Project 1: Building and refining a model predicting cognitive task performance based on neural networks trained on cognitive experiments. Expansion into computational psychiatry and developmental psychology domains.
- Project 2: Utilizing insights from cognitive science to enhance machine learning models, incorporating priors for simplicity or training in human-like environments.
