Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrochemistry
  • Strong background and expertise in polymer chemistry, materials science, or electrochemistry
  • Familiarity with advanced characterization techniques such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy
  • Experience in battery-related research is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment

Job Description: The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for developing novel polymer electrolytes to control the interface at the negative and positive electrodes of Li-metal batteries. The focus will be on electrode engineering based on innovative electrolyte chemistry, aiming to achieve optimal electrochemical performance. The role includes performing advanced electrochemical characterizations, investigating electrolyte decomposition using online electrochemical mass spectrometry, and contributing to post-mortem investigations. The researcher will collaborate with industrial partners as part of a larger national project.
