Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed PhD in Chemistry, preferably Inorganic Chemistry.
- Strong skills in synthetic chemistry demonstrated through PhD or Post-doctoral work.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of multi-nuclear NMR analysis.
- Previous publication record.
- Knowledge of air/moisture-sensitive compound handling (experience with X-Ray crystallography is a plus).
- Ability to speak and write confidently in English.
Job Description: The project involves the synthesis of polythiocarbonates using catalytic coupling of epoxides and carbon disulfide or catalytic ring-opening polymerization of cyclic thiocarbonates. Depolymerization studies will also be considered. The role includes the synthesis of compounds using standard and air/moisture-sensitive techniques, characterizing structures (especially in polymer formation), and potential involvement in X-Ray crystallography.
