2 Postdoctoral Positions : The Institute of Microbiology at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic, is offering two postdoctoral positions to investigate the fundamental mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis. The positions are part of the Laboratory of Infection Biology and involve research on the type III secretion system of Aeromonas and the immune response to Salmonella infection.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD or equivalent in Biological Sciences/Biology
- 1-4 years of research experience
- Excellent proficiency in English
- Strong background in molecular microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, or related fields
- Practical experience in relevant techniques such as microscopy, molecular biology, immunological assays, and animal work
Job Description:
- Position No.1: Investigating the molecular mechanisms of the type III secretion system of Aeromonas, involving reverse genetics, microscopy, biochemistry, and structural biology techniques.
- Position No.2: Studying the immune response to Salmonella infection using immunological assays and transcriptomic techniques, with a focus on dendritic cells and T cells interactions.
