Post-Doctoral Position in Cancer Cell : Join Prof. G. Del Sal’s Cancer Cell Signaling Laboratory at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, Italy. We are seeking highly motivated post-doctoral researchers to lead ambitious projects investigating the connections between mechanosignaling and oncogenic pathways in controlling tumor cell interaction with the tissue microenvironment. Funded by the AIRC 5×1000 program, our research aims to discover new strategies for curtailing metastatic proclivity or eradicating metastatic outgrowth. This position offers a stimulating research environment, state-of-the-art facilities, and extensive national and international collaborations.

Open Post-Doctoral Position in Cancer Cell Signaling and Mechanobiology

Research Area: Cancer Cell Signaling and Mechanobiology

Location: International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), Trieste, Italy

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Successful completion of a PhD degree in molecular biomedicine, genetics, biology, pharmacology, or a related field of life sciences
  • Strong background in cancer biology
  • Extensive hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques
  • Previous experience in animal manipulation, imaging, and mechanobiology techniques; interests in metabolism and/or immunology are a plus
  • Proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, team-work attitude, and strong motivation

Job Description:

  • Lead ambitious projects investigating the connections between mechanosignaling and oncogenic pathways in controlling tumor cell interaction with the tissue microenvironment
  • Collaborate with an international and multidisciplinary team of biologists, biotechnologists, and bioinformaticians
  • Conduct research funded by the AIRC 5×1000 program “Metastasis as a Mechanodisease” (ID22759)
  • Utilize state-of-the-art research facilities at ICGEB and affiliated institutions
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
  • Engage in scientific discussions, seminars, and workshops
