We are seeking motivated individuals to contribute to projects exploring gendered change in academic institutions, focusing on globalization’s impact, gender inequalities, and diversity promotion strategies.

Research Assistant (Postdoc) Positions in Comparative Gendered Change

Designation: Research Assistant (Postdoc)

Research Area: Comparative Gendered Change in Institutions

Location: Freie Universität Berlin, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in sociology, social sciences, data science, network science, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level).
  • Desirable: Completed or close-to-completion doctoral degree in relevant fields.
  • Knowledge or interest in gender equity, intersectionality, diversity, STEM fields, higher education, etc.
  • Experience with quantitative or qualitative methods, computational social science, and programming languages (Stata, R, Python, Julia, or Go).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and willingness to publish research in international, peer-reviewed journals.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with Prof. Dr. Zippel on ongoing research projects.
  • Design and implement data collection, administration, and analysis using mixed-methods approaches.
  • Publish collaborative research in international, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, project management, and drafting funding proposals.
  • Supervise student research assistants and contribute to project planning and timelines.
