Postdoctoral Research Associate: The Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate primary cilia and extracellular vesicle release in kidney epithelial cells. The project, part of the EU-funded consortium “Therapies for renal ciliopathies,” aims to develop treatment approaches for pediatric renal ciliopathies by understanding how mutations in renal ciliopathy disease genes affect extracellular vesicle release and composition.
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Associate
Research Area: Primary Cilia and Extracellular Vesicle Release
Location: Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, or related fields.
- Experience with molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and fluorescence imaging approaches.
- Knowledge about primary cilia, ciliopathies, and/or extracellular vesicles is an advantage but not required.
Job Description: The postdoc will conduct research within the specified field, contribute to teaching/student supervision, and may perform other duties as required. Responsibilities include investigating how mutations in renal ciliopathy disease genes affect extracellular vesicle release and composition, as well as potential therapeutic interventions targeting cilia-linked signaling pathways.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit the following documents electronically:
- Curriculum vitae
- Diplomas (Master and PhD degree or equivalent)
- Complete publication list
- Names of at least 2 references
Applications must be submitted by clicking “APPLY NOW” below. The deadline for applications is April 12, 2024, at 23:59 GMT +1.
