Location: University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Chemistry/Materials Science or related area
  • Experience in coordination synthesis and spin-crossover materials
  • Proficiency in XRD, Raman, SQUID, and DSC techniques
  • Background in materials science with an outstanding scientific record
  • International postdoctoral experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Creativity and team-working ability
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment

Job Description: The successful candidates will be responsible for either:

  1. Synthesis and characterization of a new class of spin-crossover barocaloric materials exhibiting a large response to pressure and improved technological merits.
  2. Manufacture and testing of cost-effective barocaloric solid-state refrigerants for a new concept of thermal batteries, including advanced characterization under different temperature and pressure conditions.
