Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed scientific university education (Master/Diploma) and doctorate in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, biosystems engineering, bioprocess engineering, or a comparable course of study.
  • Knowledge of separation processes and characterization methods such as NMR spectroscopy and gas & liquid chromatography.
  • In-depth knowledge of biocatalytic synthesis processes.
  • Basic knowledge in the field of (bio)organic synthesis.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be part of a research project focusing on selective biocatalytic depolymerization processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing experimental work.
  • Performing calculations, evaluations, and documentation of results.
  • Providing administrative assistance.
  • Acquiring interdisciplinary research knowledge with an application-related focus, qualifying for further tasks in sustainable synthetic chemistry.
  • Expanding networks in process engineering disciplines and facilities.
