Postdoctoral Associate | Bioengineering: The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine is seeking a talented Postdoctoral Associate with expertise in bioengineering and a keen interest in biological research. This role involves innovative 3D bioprinting projects using patient-derived organoids and cell lines to replicate human organs, integrated with organ-on-chip platforms. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in cell and tissue engineering.
  • Training in biomedical engineering, biomaterials, bioprinting, immunoengineering, and cell biology.
  • Preferred experience in microfabrication, 3D printing/bioprinting, biomaterials fabrication, and host-microbiome interactions.
  • At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal related to bioprinting.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Description:
Join the Jalili and Robson Labs at JAX to engage in independent and collaborative research projects focused on 3D bioprinting. Utilize state-of-the-art facilities to create advanced functional organ-level tissues, combining bioprinting with organ-on-chip platforms. Collaborate with experts in bioengineering, biology, immunology, microbiology, and clinical research. Spearhead projects that incorporate bioprinting, microfabrication, organ-on-chip development, organoid culture, microbiome sequencing, and single-cell transcriptomics.
