Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- PhD degree must be completed no longer than three years prior to the application closing date.
- Demonstrated expertise in Image Processing, Computer/Machine Vision, Machine and Deep Learning, Optimization algorithms.
- Strong mathematical knowledge and software programming skills, particularly in Python/PyTorch/TensorFlow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job Description: The successful candidate will join the Realistic 3D research group at the STC research center, collaborating on a project involving international academic and industrial partners. The research will focus on six degrees of viewing freedom, super-resolution for 360 video streaming, and integrating 3D scanned objects into augmented reality for remote operations. Key tasks include algorithmic development using physics-based machine learning and the latest deep learning technologies.
